Wilma June Duke Endicott, 90, passed away at 11:50AM on Monday April 24, 2023, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital Skilled Care Unit. She was born June 5, 1932, to C.M. and Rada (Shaw) Duke of Cisne. Wilma was a member of the First Christian Church in Fairfield and a member of the Park Board. She was the first instructor of the stained-glass class at Frontier Community College, and she made many beautiful lamps and windows.
Wilma married Bill Endicott in Fairfield on May 15, 1954. Bill died on February 18, 2013. They had 2 children Gayle Mattox of Evansville IN who survives, and Greg Endicott who preceded them in death on May 15, 1977. Wilma is also survived by granddaughters Kelli Peddicord of Fairfield and Jennifer Peddicord of Franklin TN; great grandchildren Madyson Peddicord and Benjamin Hancock; sister Doris Hess of Fairfield; sister-in-law Margaret Duke of Flora; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, son, husband, five brothers, three sisters, one niece and four nephews.
Per Wilma’s wishes, her body will be cremated, and a memorial graveside service will be held at 1:15PM on Wednesday May 3, 2023, at Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11AM – 1PM at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St Jude’s or a church of the donor’s choice and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home.
