Wayne Deon Blessing

Wayne Deon Blessing, 53, of Geff passed away at 8:12PM on Sunday September 8, 2024, at his home. He worked at Matthews and Sons as a heavy equipment operator. Wayne was born in Fairfield on October 9, 1970, to Gary and Vickie (Richardson) Blessing.

Wayne is survived by his mother- Vickie Blessing of Fairfield; son- Lucas (Breanna) Blessing of Herrin; daughter- Maegan Blessing of Herrin; grandchildren- Westin Deon Blessing, and Rowdy Wyatt Blessing; sisters- Annetta (Terry) Evans of Robinson IL, and Eileen Berry of Ullin IL.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father- Gary Blessing, paternal grandparents- Darrell and Helen Blessing, and maternal grandparents- Eddie and Esther Richardson.

Funeral Services will be held at 12PM on Wednesday September 11, 2024, at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home with burial in Bestow Cemetery in Geff. Visitation will be from 10AM until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to help with funeral expenses and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home.
