Terry (Bankston) McGill

Terry Kay McGill, age 62, passed away peacefully at her home in Spring, Texas on December 20, 2022 due to illness. She was born on October 25, 1960 in Kennett, Missouri to Leon and Nell Bankston. Terry married her high school sweetheart, Marc McGill on August 17, 1979 in Fairfield, Illinois.

Terry loved being around her family and friends; just enjoying having conversations. If you ever met Terry, you had a friend for life.

For many years, Terry worked as a teachers aide at Geff Grade School and Center Street School. She loved watching students learn and grow.

Terry is survived by her husband, Marc, daughters, Rachel McGill and Alyssa (Derek) Tucker and granddaughter, Capri Ayla Tucker all of Spring, TX. She has one sister, Dana (Doug) Wilson (Olivia and Ian) of Fairfield, IL, one brother, Jason (Andrea) Bankston (Jace and Averi) of Fairfield, IL, many wonderful nieces and nephews and so many other precious family members and friends, whom she loved very much.

A visitation will be held at the Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield on Thursday, December 29th from 11-1 PM, with a graveside service at Maple Hill Cemetery immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America.
