Tamara Bruce Obituary

Tamara G. Bruce, 63, of Enfield, IL left her earthly home to be with her heavenly father on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at the home.  Born on July 17, 1962, in Springfield, IL to Miles and Barbara (Lowe) Friend, she had been a registered nurse. 

Tamara is survived by her parents Miles and Barbara Friend, stepdaughter Crystal Bridges, 5 step grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren, brothers Berry Friend and Jim (Angela) Friend, uncle Richard (Penny) Dunn, Aunts Sherrie (Carlito) Boolous, Paula (John) Martin, Donna Friend, brother in law Steve (Alice) Bruce, sister in laws Ann Friend, Ruby Bruce, and Penny (Van) Musgrave, and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Bruce, brother Brian Friend, brother-in-law Billy Bruce, sister-in-law Darla Bankston, uncles Edward Friend, Bob Friend, Harold Arnold, aunt Betty Friend, and her grandparents.

Funeral services for Tamara Bruce will be held on Thursday, August 14th at 1 PM at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 11 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor may be made to Lighthouse of Hope and will be accepted at the funeral home.
