Shirley Bernice Melton

Shirley Bernice Melton, 87, of Fairfield passed away at 7:55AM on Wednesday December 11, 2024, at Ascension St Vincent Hospital in Evansville IN. She had worked in the clothing department at the Farmer Store and Kincaid’s. Bernice was born in Wayne County on September 21, 1937, to Dellos and Iris (Williams) Musgrave.

Bernice is survived by her grandson- Caleb (Kirsten) Melton of Fairfield; great grandson- Asher Melton; sisters- Betty (Dean) Lambrich, Evonne (David) Hallam, and Judy (Larry) Thomason all of Fairfield; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, husband- Cecil Gerald Melton, son- Gerald J Melton, and brothers- Jimmy, Pauly, and Johnny Musgrave.

Graveside services will be held at 10AM on Monday December 16, 2024, at Maple Hill Cemetery. There will be no visitation, friends and family are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
