Sharon R Stubbs

Sharon R. Stubbs, 78, of Fairfield, died at 2:49 am on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Cisne Rehab and Rehabilitation.

Sharon was born on August 9, 1945, in Scottsbluff, NE, to Donald and Ardis (Fees) Long. She was married to the love of her life, Larry Elbert Stubbs on August 14, 1974.

Sharon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was actively involved at New Beginnings Church in Fairfield, IL, where she and her husband, Larry, were the Senior Adult leaders.

Survivors include one son Larry (Julie-Ann) Stubbs of Fairfield, one daughter Ardis (Eddie) Barbre of Fairfield, and four grandchildren Stephanie Stubbs, Gabriel Barbre, Kimaya Barbre, and Emma Barbre. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Paul Long.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, October 27th at the New Beginnings Church in Fairfield. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of service at the church. A graveside service will follow at Richland Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the New Beginnings Church and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home
