Robert "Bob" Lynn Hollinger

Robert “Bob” L. Hollinger, 66, of Mill Shoals, IL, died at 12:55am on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Aperion Care in Fairfield. He had worked as an oilfield welder and shop supervisor for Evergreen Energy in Carmi, IL, for 22 years. He was also very proud to be a veteran of the United States Army. 

Bob was born on January 14, 1957, in Fairfield, IL, to William and Louise (Newton) Hollinger. On May 10, 1975, he married the love of his life, Teresia “Terri” (Thomason) Hollinger. 

Survivors include his wife Teresia of Mill Shoals, two sons Scott (Erica) Hollinger of Mt. Vernon, IN, and Robert Ray (Ginger) Hollinger of Mill Shoals, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, two brothers James (Latta) Hollinger of Manhattan, KS and Richard (Nancy) Hollinger of Evans, GA, two sisters Jennie (Pat) Bailey, Sr. of Fairfield, and June (Dave) Tullis of Taylorville, IL, along with several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters Billie Marsh, Dorothy Glass, and Mary Ann Cribelar. 

Per Bob’s request, his body will be cremated with no formal services or burial. There will be a private military service at a later date. The Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
