Rita Faye (Sork) Doty

Rita Faye Doty, 76, of Fairfield, passed away at 1:28am on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the Cisne Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. She had been a home health aide. 

Rita was born on November 16, 1948, in Ridgway, IL, to Donald Eugene and Oma Elizabeth (Terrell) Sork. She was married to the love of her life, Cleve Doty. 

Survivors include her husband Cleve Doty, her children Sharon Wiggins, Donny (Stephanie) Doty, and Dena (Anthony) Carter all of Fairfield, and Rebecca (Chris) Locke of Barnhill, her daughter-in-law Beth Doty of Tennessee, fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, her sister-in-law Maxine Sork of Fairfield, along with several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Mike Doty, and two brothers Thurman Dale Sork and Arthur Eugene Sork. 

Rita’s body will be cremated with a private family graveside service and burial to be held at a later date in the Burnt Prairie Cemetery. The Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
