Reba L. (Meador) Clemmons

Reba L. Clemmons, 92, of Fairfield, passed away at 4:35am on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. 

Reba was born on July 12, 1932, in Wayne County, IL, to Wesley and Ruby (Sutherland) Meador. On June 9, 1955, she married the love of her life, Howard E. Clemmons. They were married 56 years before he preceded her in death on November 28, 2011. 

Reba was in the FCHS class of 1952 and was also a member of the First General Baptist Church in Fairfield for 69 years. 

Survivors include her daughter Joyce (Kent) Henson of Fairfield, and two brothers Wesley (Arlene) Meador of San Jose, CA, and Ralph (Joan) Meador of Summerville, SC, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard, and a sister Evalyn Hulfachor. 

Funeral services for Reba Clemmons will be at 11am on Monday, August 12th, at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to the First General Baptist Church or the Union Grove Youth Camp and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
