Ralph E. Ulm

Ralph E. Ulm, 99 of Fairfield passed away at 9:50 AM, Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.  Born on January 22, 1924, in Wayne County to Clarence and Sarah (Trotter) Ulm,  he was an engineer and had retired from Airtex Products as Vice President of Engineering. Ralph was also a member of the Fairfield Church of Christ for 57 years.

Ralph is survived by his son Curtis (Teresa) Ulm of Fairfield, son in law Skip Slatton of Cleveland, TN, 4 grandchildren- Lindsey Petlak, Sarah (Brett) Byram, Drew (Yinan) Slatton, and Emily (Jeremy) Smith, and 4 great grandchildren- Andrew, Curtis, and Max Byram, and Grayson Petlak.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Donna Ulm, daughter Kimberlee Slatton, and sisters Doris Cummins and Helen Miller .

Funeral services for Ralph Ulm will be held at 12 PM, Thursday, June 22nd at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 11 AM until the time of service.  Memorials in his honor may be made to the Wayne County Humane Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
