Norman Douglas Young

Norman Douglas Young, 85, of Fairfield passed away at 3:10PM on Wednesday March 5, 2025. He worked for Morton Buildings for several years. Doug was born in Wayne County on August 1, 1939, to Wallace and Grace (Butler) Young. He was married to Ruth Ann (Marshal) Young who preceded him in death.

Doug is survived by one sister- Marjorie Daugherty of Louisville IL; sister-in-law- Doneta Colclasure of Fairfield; several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister- Darlene Buchanon, brothers- Beryl, Leonard, Wilbur, Floyd, and two infant brothers.

Doug’s wishes were to be cremated, and his ashes buried by his wife at Richland Cemetery at a later date.

Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation.
