Norma Tucker Obituary

Norma Jean Tucker, 86 of Fairfield, passed away at 9:13 AM, Monday, April 17, 2023, at her home.  Born on September 24, 1936, in Geff, IL to William and Opal (Finley) Blackburn, she worked at Kurr Jewelry in high school.  Norma married Marshal Tucker on October 16, 1953, at the Ellen Moore United Methodist Church and they moved to Chicago where they lived until 1958.  After moving back to Fairfield, she worked alongside her husband at their store Tucker Radio and TV for many years. 

Norma is survived by her son Danny Tucker of Columbus, OH, daughters Christina Matthews of Wheaton, IL, Teresa (Dale) Kanady of Fairfield, Dianna (Matt) Seng of Fairfield, and Tammy (Marvin) Weaver of Enfield, grandchildren Aaron (Alice Yan) Matthews of San Jose, CA, Daniel Matthews of Chicago, IL, Ethan (Grace Kelley Williamson) Matthews of Chicago, IL, Jennifer (Anthony) Woolever of Flora, IL, Jacob (Vinnie) Winter of West Frankfort, IL , Alex (Trisha) Seng of Crystal Lake, IL, and Nick (Ellie) Seng of Chicago, IL, great grandchildren Madalynn, Meredith, and Macy Edwards, Zoey Miller, Abigale Heinrich, and Callen Seng, brother Dean Blackburn of Alton, IL and special friends Vicki Leonard, Dee Koker, and Lindsay Koker.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother Charles Ray Blackburn.

Graveside services for Norma Tucker will be held at 11:30 AM, Tuesday, April 25th at Maple Hill Cemetery.  There will be no visitation, and everyone is asked to go directly to the cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials in her honor may be made to Wayne County Ambulance Service and will be accepted at the service or the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home.
