Nancy Marilyn (Matthews) McGill

Nancy Marilyn (Matthews) McGill, 73, of Fairfield, IL, and Satellite Beach, FL, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 5, 2024, in Melbourne, FL, surrounded by her family. 

Nancy was born on October 9th, 1950, in Fairfield, to Eugene and Marie Matthews. On December 11, 1970, she married the love of her life, Ronnie McGill, in Denver, CO. They spent the next 53 years on the journey of life together. 

Nancy worked for over 20 years for the Fairfield public school system. She retired from Airtex Products, after spending over 20 years in the finance department. 

Survivors include her husband Ronnie McGill, daughters Charlotte (Mike) Colyer of Satellite Beach, FL and Veronica Trogdon of Fairfield IL, grandchildren Austin Ramirez of Indianapolis IN, Taryn and Aidan Colyer of Satellite Beach, FL, a brother David(Marilyn) Matthews of Herrin, IL, brother and sisters-in-law Billy McGill, Alice (Dick) Price, Jim (Mona) McGill, Emily Belva, Connie McGowan, Wanda (Brian) Musgrave, along with several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and several close cousins. 

She was proceeded in death by her parents, a sister Carol and her brother Dennis, brothers-in-law Richard McGowan and Charlie Belva and sister-in-law Ruth McGill.  

Funeral services for Nancy McGill will be at 12pm on Saturday, April 13th at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, IL, with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Dr Scranton Memorial Cancer Fund and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
