Micky Joe Mason

Micky Joe Mason, 68, of Flora passed away at 5:26PM on Friday May 9, 2025, at his home. He was born in Fairfield on April 8, 1957, to Leslie and Joyce (Stallings) Mason. Mick spent his career in the oil field; in 1993 he started M&I Acid Inc which is still operation. He also loved hunting and fishing. Mick married Kathy Anderson on June 14, 1975.

Mick is survived by his wife- Kathy Mason of Flora; sons- Jake (Mandy) Mason of Omega, and Kris (Roni) Mason of Flora; grandchildren- Jenifer, Keli, and Wesley Mason all of Flora; step grandchildren- Gavin Berry and Jayden Berry both of Salem, and Dylann Rosenthal of Omega; brother- Tony (Jeanne) Mason of Newton; sisters- Lezlie (Kevin) Mcvaigh of Bluford, Lesa (Richard) Cook of Flora, and Julie (Tim) Pearce of Flora; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mick was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Thursday May 15, 20025 at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11AM until the time of service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or the Wounded Warrior Project and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home.
