Marion "Peanut" Frazier

Marion “Peanut” Frazier, 72 of Wayne City, passed away at 11:20 PM, Friday, November 25, 2022, at his home.  Born on December 28, 1949, in Wayne County, IL to Dean and Dorotha (Laird) Frazier, he had been a gravedigger. 

Peanut is survived by his wife Flo Weccele of Wayne City, son Jason (Lizzie) Frazier of Wayne City, daughter Linda (Chris) Soderlund of Mt. Vernon, granddaughter Donna Soderlund, stepsons Jimmy Joe and Johnny Joe Marshel of Sims, brother Larry (Sharon) Frazier of Keenes, sisters Janet Buchanan of St. Ann, MO, Lorene (Ron) Talbert of Biloxi, MS, and Carmen Yuengel of Creal Springs, IL, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jerry “Sug” Frazier, and sister Judy Crocker.

Funeral services for Peanut Frazier will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, December 1st, 2022, at Olive Branch Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Baltimore Cemetery with military rites provided by Anthony Wayne Post #176 American Legion and the Wayne County Post #4535 VFW. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-7 PM at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield.
