Lucinda Faye (Farris) Withrow

Lucinda F. Withrow, 77, of Sims, IL, died at 7:40am on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Aperion Care in Fairfield. She had been a nurse for several facilities and doctor’s offices including Fairfield Memorial Hospital, Wayfair Nursing Home, and Cisne Healthcare. 

Lucinda was born on February 26, 1945, in Merriam, IL, to George and Alice (McKitrick) Farris. On March 30, 1974, she married the love of her life, Elmore Withrow. 

Survivors include her husband of 48 years Elmore Withrow of Sims, six sons Clinton (Tina) Withrow, Clifton Withrow, and Jeremy Withrow all of Sims, Clayton (Carla) Withrow and Michael (Melissa) Withrow both of Wayne City, IL, and Todd (Christine) Withrow of Glencoe, MO, twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, a brother Ray (Faye) Farris of Fairfield, a sister Cleda (Raymond) Rinkenberger of Mackinaw, IL, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters Kathy Withrow and Susan Trotter, and four brothers Carl Farris, Richard Farris, Marion Farris, and Bennie Farris. 

Funeral services for Lucinda Withrow will be at 11am on Friday, January 27th at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, with burial to follow in Arrington Prairie (Dickeyville) Cemetery, north of Sims. Visitation will be from 5pm-7pm on Thursday, January 26th at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the FMH Auxillary and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
