Loyd H. Shelton

Loyd H. Shelton, 90 of Fairfield, passed away at 12 AM, Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Fairfield Senior Living and Rehab.  Born on January 20, 1935, in Wayne County to Hulbert and Edna (Pierson) Shelton he married Cheryl Shannon on October 1, 1955, and had served in the US Army in Korea and been a minster. 

Loyd is survived by his daughter Rachel Raupp of Florida, son Loyd (Karen) Shelton of Florida, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Jeffrey Wayne Shelton, sisters Leona Tullis and Jean Rodgers, and brothers Roy Shelton, Earl Shelton, and Donald Shelton. 

A visitation for Loyd Shelton will be held from 10-11 AM on Saturday, May 17th at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, with private burial to follow in Buckeye Cemetery.
