Lola Marie Lowry

Lola Marie Lowry, 95, of Fairfield passed away at 12:08AM on Friday June 16, 2023, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital Skilled Care Unit.  She had worked for the Farmer’s Store for over 20 years in Fairfield and she was a much loved wife, mother, and homemaker by all her family and friends.  Lola was born in Wayne County on October 29, 1927, to George W. and Mary Mae (Pennington) Boyd.  She married Billy Gene Lowry in 1947. Lola was a member of the Real Life Church (formerly First General Baptist Church) in Fairfield.

 
Lola is survived son- Rick (Sarah) Lowry of Arlington TX; grandchildren- Ryan Lowry of Colleyville TX, Scott (Lalah) Lowry of Bourbonnais IL, Todd (Tammy) Lowery of Locus Grove GA, and Heather Fuller of Fenton MO; great grandchildren- Bradley, Andrew, Adam, and Kynadi; great great granddaughter- Rosalie; several nieces and nephews also survive. 
Lola was preceded in death by her parents; husband Billy Gene; son Ronnie Lowry; daughter Vicky Lowry Fuller; daughter in law Sandra Lowry; son in law Paul Fuller; brothers Kenny, Bill, Owen, Don, Clarence, Orville, and Cecil Boyd; sisters- Velda Withrow and Evelyn Wolfe. 

Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Friday June 23, 2023, at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11AM until the time of service at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to Real Life Church and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of all the arrangements.
