Linda Lou (Lane) Kincaid

Linda L. Kincaid, 76, of Fairfield, passed away at 12:14am on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Evansville, IN. 

Linda was born on July 19, 1949, in Mt. Vernon, IL, to Leland and Rita (Beasley) Lane. On Valentines Day, 2010, she married the love of her life, Charles Ray Kincaid. 

Linda was a member of Not Your Ordinary Church (NYOC) and loved Jesus with all of her heart. In the past, she had been a florist and an artist. Linda was one of those people that would light up a room when she walked in. She was very outgoing, kind to everyone, and loved by all. 

Survivors include her husband Charles Kincaid of Fairfield, a daughter Paulita O’Connor of Buckeye, AZ, one grandchild, two sisters Brenda Farrey (identical twin) of Mt. Vernon, IL, and Sally Baker of Rinard, IL, two sisters-in-law Maggie Slagle of Carbondale, IL and Zola Kincaid of Olney, IL, her brother-in-law Brian Farrey of Flora, IL, her close friends Courtney Cook and Jacob Jenkins, along with several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, twin daughters, her brother Howard Lane, her sister Susan Lane, and a nephew Rick Vaughn. 

Per Linda’s request, her body is being cremated. Her family is planning a celebration of life service with date and time to be announced at a later date. The Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home is assisting with the cremation arrangements.
