Linda Hoskins Obituary

Linda Lou Hoskins, 85, of Geff, passed away on July 20, 2024 at 10:29PM in Evansville IN. She was a homemaker. Linda was born October 28, 1938, at home in rural Wayne County, Illinois to Roy Edward and Etta Belle (Cox) Brown. She married Grant Hoskins in 1958. They celebrated 65 years last year.

Linda was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Linda was especially known for her superior cooking skills. You need a pie, she had you covered. Her greatest love was feeding her family.

Linda is Survived by her husband-Grant Hoskins of Geff: daughters- Patti (Scott) Nickens of Evansville, Peggi (Ed) Bryant, Bellville, Tx, Susie (Scott) Wood of Fairfield; son- Chris (LaDonna) Hoskins of Geff; Grandchildren- Grayson (Scott) Hyde, Ian Nickens, Grant (Meredith) Nickens, Baili (Casey) Rhodes, Barkley (John) Donaho, Cassidy (Zac) Lofton, Christopher (Lesli) Hoskins, Clay Hoskins, Bronson Wood and Alec Wood; Great Grandchildren- Cooper and Stella Rhodes, Iris and Archer Hyde and Elizabeth Donaho, and Violet and Ellie Hoskins.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, brothers- Lee Roy Brown and Bill Brown, and sisters- Kathleen Mauck and Sharon Wilborn.

A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Thursday July 25, 2024, at Bestow Cemetery in Geff. There will be no visitation, family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, to continue Linda’s love of sharing food with people, the family asks that memorials be made to any organization that helps feed the community.
