Lelia (Taylor) Smith

Lelia Smith, 95 of Geff, passed away at 2:50 PM, Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.  Born on September 5, 1929, in Wayne County to Fred and Dela (Rosenberger) Taylor, she had been a homemaker. 

Lelia is survived by her husband Wayne Smith of Geff, sons Richard and Danny Smith of Fairfield, daughter Tanya (Brad) Basnett of Fairfield, 5 grandchildren- Heath Basnett, Kyle Basnett, Jenny McArthy, Tim Smith, and Katie Schaber, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 step great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters, and daughter in law Vicky Smith.

Funeral services for Lelia Smith will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, February 13th at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers memorials in her honor may be made to Geff Christian Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
