Joyce (Wood) Boucherie

Joyce Boucherie, 83 of Fairfield, formerly of Mill Shoals, passed away at 12:57 PM, Tuesday, January 20, 2026, surrounded by her family.  Born on February 21, 1942, in Fairfield to Arthur and Lillian (Carter) Wood, she had been a homemaker and worked at Savannah Rose.  Joyce was a longtime member of the Fairfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  She loved her church, cooking, and her grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by her daughter Dena (Leslie) Ewing of Fairfield, son J.R. Boucherie of Hamletsburg, IL, grandson Joseph (Samantha) Ewing of Butte, MT, great grandchildren Katelyn (Chandler) Murfin and Andrew (Taylor) Hunsinger, 5 great great grandchildren, sister-in-law Margaret Boucherie, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband James Boucherie, her parents, brother Jim Wood, and sisters Betty Xanders and Alice Rush.

Funeral services for Joyce Boucherie will be held at 2 PM, Friday, January 23rd at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers memorials in her honor may be made to the Fairfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church or Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
