Josephine "Josie" Rose Rahn

Josephine “Josie” R. Rahn, 38, of Dix, IL, died at 10:44pm on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Crossroads Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL. Josie was a stay-at-home mom and had also worked at Jam Joey’s Gas station as a manager.

Josie was born on August 23, 1984, in Flora, IL, to Raymond and Marilyn (Vaughan) Rahn. On October 30, 2007, she married the love of her life, Christopher Stuckey.

Josie graduated with the Beecher City Community High School class of 2002. She loved to draw, write poetry, and hang out with family and friends. She was a member of the Wayne City Church of God.

Survivors include her husband Chris Stuckey, her father Raymond Rahn, a daughter Ashten Stuckey, a son Elijah Stuckey all of Dix, IL, her paternal grandmother Joan Rahn of Tuscola, IL, two brothers Timothy Rahn of Beecher City, IL, and Matthew Rahn of Chester, IL, two sisters Sasha Rahn of Dix and Ashley Simpson of Flora, IL, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Marilyn Rahn, a granddaughter Maya Seprodi, her paternal grandfather Duane Rahn, and her maternal grandparents Frances Lister and Pleasant Junior Vaughan.

A visitation will be held from 1pm-3pm on Tuesday, April 4th at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, IL. Following the visitation, Josie’s body will be cremated with burial in West Antioch Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to the Stuckey family for education expenses for Ashten and Elijah Stuckey and will be accepted at the funeral home.
