Joseph “Joe” A. Cline, 66, of Fairfield, died at 1:33pm on Friday, November 11, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Joe was born on June 3, 1956, in McLeansboro, IL, to Eugene and Helen (Barbre) Cline. On April 10, 1976, he married the love of his life, Vickie (Tackitt) Cline. Joe loved to hunt, fish, and spend time in his garage. He worked in the oilfield and was a butcher. Joe worked for Carter Trucking for 19 ½ years, before retiring.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Vickie Cline of Fairfield, one son Dwight (Amber) Cline of Fairfield, two daughters Gina (Stacy) Taylor of Fairfield and Carrie (Anthony) Fowler of Ina, IL, six grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, four brothers Robert Cline of Geff, Gary Cline of Wayne City, Billy (Laura) Cline of Texas, and Roy Dale (Shelly) Cline of Flora, two sisters Becky Cline and Dave Bearse of Fairfield, and Edna Mae (Jimmy) Hale of Sullivan, MO, three grand dogs Bo, Bella, and Zoey, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Wesley Cline, a special niece Dusti Van-Horn, and two sisters-in-law Trena Cline and Brenda Cline.
Funeral services for Joe Cline will be at 1pm on Wednesday, November 16th at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, with burial to follow in Richland Cemetery, south of Boyleston. Visitation will be from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to help with funeral expenses and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
