Jerry Hooper

Jerry Hooper, 75 of Cisne, passed away at 2:13 PM, Monday, April 3, 2023, at his home.  Born on June 16, 1947, in Fairfield to Kenneth and Elsie (Headley) Hooper, Jerry was a veteran of the US Army, proudly serving in Vietnam.  He also worked as a chemical operator for many years. 

Jerry is survived by his wife Judith (Rayburn) Hooper of Cisne, son Richard (Tonya) Hooper of Cisne, daughter Sherry (Troy) Barnfield of Cincinnati, OH, 8 grandchildren, Curtis, Jacob, and Gage Barnfield, Cheyanne Anthony, Zach Hatley, Mariah Pamson, Austin Malcolm, and Emily Malcolm, and 4 brothers- Verdaine Hooper of Trumann, AR, Lester Hooper of Mt. Carmel, IL, Galen Hooper of Harmon, IL and Melvin Hooper of Princeton, IL.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Darlene Tyler, and brother Danny Hooper.

Funeral services for Jerry Hooper will be held at 2 PM, Monday, April 10th at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, with burial to follow at Union Cemetery with military rites provided by Anthony Wayne Post #176 American Legion and the Wayne County Post #4535 VFW.  Visitation will be held from 12 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.  Memorials in his honor may be made to Union North Cumberland Presbyterian Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
