Janice (Williams) Hutchens

Janice Hutchens, 76 of Fairfield died at 8 AM, Monday, March 20, 2023, at Linda White Hospice House in Evansville, IN.  Born on September 17, 1946, in Olney, IL to Joe and Helen (Jennings) Williams, she had been a bookkeeper for Independent Oil, Wayne County Speed Shop, and Kent Reeves CPA.  Jan was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who saw the good in people and was always helping others.  A natural giver, she was always there for people in their time of need.  The world would be a better place if more people cared for others like Jan did. 

Jan is survived by her husband David Hutchens of Fairfield, son Andrew (Lori) Hutchens of Fairfield, daughter Danielle Hutchens of New Jersey, and grandchildren Blake and Evelyn Hutchens.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Joe Williams.

Jan will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at 1 PM, Friday, March 24th at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, with visitation from 11 AM until the time of service.   In lieu of flowers memorials in her honor may be made to the Wayne County Humane Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
