Harold Lee Miller, 77, of Fairfield, died at 5:56am on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Select Specialty Hospital in Evansville, IN.
Harold Lee was born on October 31, 1945, in Effingham, IL, to Dan and Jessie (Hayes) Miller. On December 13, 1963, he married the love of his life, Jennie (Hanson) Miller. He attended The Roads Church in Norris City, IL.
Harold Lee attended Bailey Technical School in St. Louis, Mo. After school, he became the owner and operator of Miller Oil Company in Louisville, IL, before moving to Texas, where he worked on off-shore drilling rigs. After returning to Fairfield, he was the owner and operator of Miller Well Service, Dependable Well Service and started Reliable Acid. He retired as a production superintendent with Wood Energy.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Jennie, two daughters Julie (Jeff) Harrison of Geff, IL, and Charlotte (Mike) Everett of Cordova, TN, four grandchildren Remington (Bayli) Harrison of Fairfield; Easton Harrison of Geff, IL; Reece Everett of Evansville, IN; and Parker Everett of Evansville, IN, two sisters Kay Newby of Louisville, IL and Sue Stanfield of Effingham, IL, and a sister-in-law Phylis Miller of Louisville, IL, along with several nieces and nephews.
Harold Lee was preceded in death by his parents Dan & Jessie Miller and one brother Danny Miller.
Funeral services for Harold Lee Miller will be at 11am on Thursday, January 19th, at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial to follow in Buckeye Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Wednesday, January 18th at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to the Life Recovery Group from New Beginnings Church and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
