Fred William Bond

Fred William Bond, 79, formerly of Fairfield passed away at 9:40AM on Sunday January 26, 2025, at Bridges Assisted Living in Mission TX. He had worked for the Department of Rehabilitation Services of Mt Vernon Illinois and was an Air Force Veteran. Fred was born in Princeton IN on July 21, 1945, to Herbert “Bud” and Marguerite (Ward) Bond. He married Elvira Lee on February 14, 1984.

Fred is survived by his wife- Elvira Bond of Mission TX; children- Tracie (Donnie) Wheeler of Evansville IN, Tyson (Crystal) Bond of Evansville IN, and Jaymie (Clyde) Wilkinson of Allendale IL; grandchildren- Megan and Jake Wheeler, Kyston Bond, Logan and Lonna Wilkerson; sister- Carol (Otis) Brach of Fairfield.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents.

Fred was cremated and a graveside memorial service will be held at 1PM on Friday February 21, 2025, at Maple Hill Cemetery with full military rights provided Anthony Wayne Post #176 American Legion and the Wayne County Post #4535 VFW. There will be no visitation, friends and family are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
