Floyd Hannis

Floyd W. “Butch” Hannis, 77 of Fairfield, passed away at 5:48 PM, Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at his home.  He was born on May 6, 1946, in Mt. Vernon, IL to Floyd Hannis and Betty Mae (Reaney) Lisenby.  Floyd was a very hard-working man, working in many fields including harness horse racing, construction and fencing, and other small businesses throughout the years.  He was a member of the Casey Avenue Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, near his childhood home. 

Floyd is survived by his daughter Tracy (Michael) Krupka of Sugar Grove, IL, grandchildren Charlie and Henry Krupka, stepchildren George (Sandra) Keezer, Tammy Keezer, and Tina Hillmer, brother James Hamlin of Mt. Vernon, nephew Shannon (Amy) Hamlin, and niece Jill (Chris) Koelling. The family is grateful to neighbors and community members who assisted Floyd during his recent years. 

Floyd will be cremated, and no formal services will be held.  Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home is handling cremation.
