Emmadean Felix

Emmadean Felix passed peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on September 26, 2023, at the Fairfield Memorial Hospital Skilled Care Unit.

She was born on May 30, 1933, in Geff, Illinois to Hayward and Alice (Feller) Holman.  On November 29, 1953, she married Dale Felix.  She was a 50-year member of Home Extension.  While attending Barnhill Baptist Church she was a faithful Sunday School teacher for many years.  In later years she attended New Hope General Baptist Church with the help of many friends.  Her hobbies included bird watching, reading, and flower gardening.

Emmadean is survived by daughter- Dian Vaughan; son- Steven Felix (Kelli); sisters-in-law- Glenda Holman and Lisa Felix; grandchildren- Eric Vaughan, Alissa (Stephen) Kiely, Kaleb Felix, Kyle Felix, Madison (Evan) Teramoto, and Gary Castro; great grandchildren- Abi Vaughan, Hayden Vaughan, Emma Kiely, and Leah Kiely.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband- Dale; son-in-law- David Vaughan; daughter-in-law- Grace Felix; sister- Annabelle Cable; brothers- Amos Holman and Harold Holman.

Funeral services will be held at 12PM on Monday October 2, 2023, at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10AM until the time of service at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Fairfield Memorial Hospital Skilled Care Activities Fund and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home.
