Dollie Jean Thomason

Dollie Jean Thomason, 81, passed away at 1:15AM on Tuesday May 7, 2024, at Meadowbrook Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Grayville. Dollie was born in Detroit MI on June 17,1942 to Charles “Jerd” and Catherine “Kate” (Klobutcher) Butler. She was a member of the North Side Baptist Church in Fairfield. Dollie worked several years at the Fairfield Sewing Factory and later at Airtex where she retired.

Dollie is survived by son- Kent (Lisa) Thomason of Fairfield; daughter- Robin (Jesse) Thornton of Marion KY; four grandchildren- Shalee Thomason of St Louis MO, Carver Thomason of Fairfield, Tara Beck of Fairfield, and Shelby West of Albion; two great grandchildren- Keegan Smith of Fairfield and Vivian West of Albion; two sisters- Betty (Jim) Beeson of Geff and Frances Musgrave of Grayville.

Dollie was preceded in death by her parents, son Brent Thomason, brother Bobby Butler, half-sister Pat Astemborski, and half-brother Charles “Bud” Butler.

Per Dollie’s wishes, her body was cremated, and a graveside memorial service will be held 2PM on Friday May 31, 2024, at Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
