David Lewis Wright

David L. Wright, 76 of Cisne, IL, passed away at 10:45 PM, Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Linda White Hospice House in Evansville, IN.  Born on June 7, 1949, in Oneonta, NY to Raymond C. and Cora (Bishop) Wright, Sr., he had been an assistant schoolteacher and loved to karaoke.  David first married Charlene Kurth in Florida. She preceded him in death on February 22, 2000.  He later married Kathy Jo Barnes in Geff, IL.  She preceded him in death on May 20, 2015. 

David is survived by his sister Judy Wright of Fairfield, nephew Chris (Sara) Wright of Rinard, sister-in-law Betty Wright of Orlando, KY, dear friend Kathleen Backs of Centralia, caregiver Jennifer Moon of Fairfield, and several other nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 wives, 2 brothers- Raymond Wright Jr. and Stanley Wright, sister Nancy, and brother-in-law Jessie Wright. 

Funeral services for David Wright will be held on Thursday, February 19th at 1 PM at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, with visitation from 12 PM until the time of service.  Burial will follow in Shrewsbury Cemetery in Mill Shoals, IL.
