David Lee Vaughan

On December 4th, 2022, David Lee Vaughan peacefully passed away at the age of 66 at his home in Barnhill, IL and went thru the gates of Heaven.  He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and brother. 

David is survived by his father Wilburn “Wib” Vaughan of Fairfield, wife of 46 years Dian Vaughan of Barnhill, children Eric Vaughan of Richardson, TX and Alissa (Stephen) Kiely of Celina, TX, grandchildren Abi, Hayden, Emma, and Leah, and sister Angie Tucker of Fairfield.  He was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Vaughan, and brother Robert Vaughan. 

He grew up in Wayne County and in 1984 moved to New Mexico for 29 years.  While there he met friends who became his lifelong family.

David enjoyed singing in Southern Gospel Quartets in Southern Illinois and New Mexico.  He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal baseball and sports fan. 

Funeral services for David Vaughan will be held at 12 PM, Saturday, December 10th at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.  Memorials in his honor may be made to the Dr. Scranton Memorial Cancer Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.  Condolences can be made to the family at www.johnsonvaughn.com
