Curtis Dwayne Sutton

Curtis D. Sutton, 57, of Fairfield, passed away at 1:26pm on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.  He had been a forklift operator for Double D Pallets in Sims and JHT Robertson Lumber, Inc in Fairfield. He was also a veteran of the United States Army. 

Curtis was born on September 9, 1967, in Mt. Vernon, IL, to Harold Sutton and Judith (Youngblood) Matthews. 

Survivors include three daughters Shaunna (Cody) Schulze of Geff, IL, Jazmyn Sutton of Woodlawn, IL, and Devyn Sutton of Johnsonville, IL, four grandchildren, a sister Camelia (Barry) McKinney of Johnsonville, IL, along with four nephews and a niece. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Kareene Blasdel. 

Per Curtis’ request, his body will be cremated. There will be no formal services or burial at this time. Memorial donations can be made to help with cremation expenses and can be dropped off or mailed to the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
