Christina "Tina" Diane (Yoho) Young

Christina “Tina” D. Young, 65, of Fairfield, died at 5:52am on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. She was a Registered Nurse and had been the Director of Nursing and Administrator for Way-Fair Nursing Home in Fairfield. 

Tina was born on August 2, 1957, in Kankakee, IL, to Ira “Gene” Yoho and Donna (Buchanan) Tullis. On March 11, 1977, she married the love of her life, Danny A. Young. 

Tina enjoyed spending time with her children and granddaughters and attending Victory Outreach Center Church. She loved her horses and enjoyed horseback riding, fishing, and taking motorcycle trips to places like Florida, Key West, and the Great Smokey Mountains. One of her favorite places to be was on the beach. 

Survivors include her husband Danny Young of Fairfield, her sons Chance Young and Chris Young both of Fairfield, her mother and stepfather Donna (Carson) Tullis of Fairfield, four granddaughters Kayley Young, Audrey Young, Chesney Young, and Allison Young, a great granddaughter Rosie Rae, and her brother Tracy Yoho of Fairfield. 

She was preceded in death by her father Ira Yoho and her stepfather Charles Wilson. 

Funeral services for Tina Young will be at 10am on Tuesday, April 18th at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, with burial to follow in Victory Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pm-7pm on Monday, April 17th at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to the Dr. Scranton Memorial Cancer Fund and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
