Charles H Thomason

Charles H. Thomason, 88 of Fairfield, went home to be with the lord at 9:22 AM, Friday, January 27, 2023, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.  He served in the military for 21 years as a military policeman, cook, and finished his career as a reservist.  For 18 years he worked at Airtex in the print shop and as a guard. 

Charles was born September 20, 1934, in Fairfield to Henry and Hazel (Munday) Thomason.  On December 28, 1963, he married Ann Short of Fairfield.  On December 28, 2022, they celebrated 59 years of marriage.  His survivors include wife Ann of Fairfield, son Mark of Fairfield, three grandsons- Eric, Trevor, and Nathan Thomason, two great grandsons- Lei and Lukus Thomason, 4 nieces and several cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, two brothers, one sister, and one great granddaughter.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 2nd at 11 AM until the time of service at 1 PM at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield.  Burial with full military honors will follow at Baltimore Cemetery south of Wayne City.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor can be made to Hope Ministries in Geff and will be accepted at the funeral home.
