Carmon (Skinner) Kunce

Carmon Kunce, 89 of Fairfield passed away at 5:33 AM, Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Stonebridge Memory Care in Mt. Vernon, IL.  Born on April 27, 1935, in Golden Gate, IL to Ellis and Opal (West) Skinner, she married James Kunce on November 14, 1953, and had been a homemaker.

Carmon is survived by daughters Debbie (Alan) Hoskins of Evansville, Jill (Mike) Short of Fairfield, and Beth (Tom) Meeks of Fairfield, son David Kunce of Fairfield, daughter in law Beki Kunce of Fairfield, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and 2 sisters- Lois Pierce of Arizona and Rhonda Briley of Mt. Erie.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, son Rodney Kunce, grandson Cody Kunce, brothers Max and Jack Skinner and sisters Betty Elliott and Ona Collier.

Graveside services for Carmon Kunce will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, October 26th at Cumberland Chapel Cemetery.  Memorials in her honor may be made to the Cumberland Chapel C.P. Church and will be accepted at the service or the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, which is handling arrangements.
