Bruce Wayne Scott

Bruce Wayne Scott, 76, of Fairfield passed away at 8:35PM on Thursday August 29, 2024, at his home. Bruce was born in Olney on December 15, 1947, to Robert D. Scott and Gwen (Keener) Scott. He was a Vietnam Veteran in the Army. Bruce married Olinda Foster on July 3, 1976. He worked for his family’s business Garman Trucking for 30+ years and retired as a Quality Analyst at Airtex after several years.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 48 years- Olinda Scott of Fairfield; son- Darrell Scott of Fairfield; daughters- Amy Fry of Mt Vernon IN and Allison (Chris) Billington of Geff; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; and a sister- Marilee (Timothy) Wolfe of Fairfield.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law- Carl and Alice Foster, and a brother-in-law- David Foster.

Per Bruce’s wishes, his body will be cremated, and a memorial visitation will be held from    5-7PM on Wednesday September 4. 2024 at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home.
