Bill Timms

William L. “Bill”  Timms, 84 of Fairfield, passed away at 8:09 PM on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.  He was born on November 25, 1938, in Robinson, IL to William and Virgie (Beard) Timms.  Bill was a longtime resident of Feeney Cottage in Fairfield where he was like a family member to all the staff.  He loved to listen to the Cubs on the radio and play card games. 

Bill is survived by his brother Charles Timms of Farmington, NM.  He was preceded in death by his wife Marie Timms, parents, sister Barbara Childress, and brother Gary Timms.

Funeral services for Bill Timms will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, May 10th at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, with visitation from 10 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.   Burial will follow in Hutsonville New Cemetery in Hutsonville, IL.
