Arnie McKitrick

Arnie McKitrick, 73, of Fairfield passed away at 6:00 AM on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at his home. He was employed at the Fairfield Golf Course where he left to take a job at Airtex. After 23 years, Arnie retired from Airtex and went back to work at the golf course. Arnie was born in Boyleston on January 28, 1951, to Elza and Maxine (Legg) McKitrick. He married Cindy Wilhelm on January 15, 1977.

Arnie is survived by his wife- Cindy McKitrick of Fairfield; daughters- Carol (Eric) Barnard and Hillary Mckitrick both of Fairfield; grandchildren- Billy Joe McKitrick and Emilee Barnard both of Fairfield; great grandson- Brody McKitrick; sister- Sharon (Frank) Wodicker of Fairfield; sisters-in-law- Joyce McKitrick of Fairfield, Elaine McKitrick of Johnsonville and Julie Duncan of Fairfield; brothers-in-law David Boyd and Claude Mark both of Fairfield; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Arnie was preceded in death by his parents, son- Leslie Joe McKitrick, three brothers- John, Jim, and Kenneth McKitrick, three sisters- Paula Colclasure, Judy Bishop, and Sandra Mark.

Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5-7PM on Friday April 26, at the funeral home.

In leu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mid-America Transplant and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of all the arrangements.
