Anna Marie (Duesenberry) Rankin

Anna M. Rankin, 70, of Fairfield, died at 7:00pm on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at her home. She had been a licensed daycare operator for over 30 years. 

Anna was born on December 29, 1952, in Cole Ridge, OH, to Alfred and Ruth (Kuchera) Duesenberry. On June 18, 1977, she married the love of her life, Larry Lee Rankin. Anna was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fairfield. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years Larry Rankin of Fairfield, two daughters Staci Rankin of Mayfield, KY, and Shelley (Durke) Vaughn of Fairfield, a son James White of Arkansas, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a brother Bob (Marge) Duesenberry, two sisters Bert (Don) McConahay and Freda (Fred) Shipp all of Ohio, along with several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Lee Rankin, a sister Sandy, and a brother Timmy Duesenberry. 

Funeral services for Anna Rankin will be at 1pm on Wednesday, July 19th, at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11am until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to the Dr. Scranton Memorial Cancer Fund and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
