William “Bill” Day, 86 of Fairfield, passed away at 10:38 PM, Thursday, October 15, 2026, on hospice at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. Bill was born on June 28, 1940, in Oden, IL to William and Edna (Love) Day. On April 19, 1958, he married the love of his life, Marilyn Kay (Templeman) Day.
Survivors include his loving wife Marilyn Kay Day of Fairfield, his children Kerrie (Art) Bray of Bloomington, IL, Curt (Kathi) Day of Aurora, IL, and Kim (Dennis) Ramos of Romeoville, IL, his grandchildren Amy (Bray) Hertel, (Jason Bray preceded him in death) Kayla Bray, Caleb Ramos, Emily Day, Sage Ramos, Bryce Ramos, and Ryan Day, his great grandchildren Elias Hertel, Gwennan Hertel, Desmond Hertel, and Addy Hertel.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 19th at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.
