Vera Lucille Borah, 99 of Fairfield passed away at 7:50 AM, Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.  Born on December 1, 1923, in Cisne, IL to Clarence and Lily (Secrest) Beckel, she had been a homemaker and was a member of the Northside Baptist Church.

Lucille is survived by her sons Gary and Gene Borah of Fairfield, granddaughter Stacey (Chris) Byrd of Louisville, KY, a great granddaughter Avi Byrd, and a nephew.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles Borah, sister Ruth Edell Beckel, and 3 brothers: Glen, Everett, and Vern Beckel.

Funeral services for Lucille Borah will be held at 1 PM, Friday, November 10th at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 11 AM until the service at the funeral home.
