Toby J. Maxham, 55 of Fairfield passed away at 2:30 PM, Saturday, December 16, 2023, at his home. Born on January 16, 1968, in Mt. Vernon, IL to James A. and Charlene (Mossburger) Maxham, he was a US Army Veteran and had worked at Continental Tire.

Toby is survived by his son Charles Maxham, mother Charlene Carter, and brother Shawn Maxham.  He was preceded in death by his father, brother Tim Maxham, and children Zachary and Katlyn Marie Maxham.

Toby will be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024, at Northside Baptist Church in Fairfield.  Burial of ashes will follow in Burnt Prairie Cemetery with miliary rites conducted by provided by Anthony Wayne Post #176 American Legion and the Wayne County Post #4535 VFW.  Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
