Ricky Eugene Robertson

Ricky E. Robertson, 65 of Sims, passed away at 9:44 AM, Friday, October 16, 2026, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, IL. Born on February 14, 1961, in Fairfield to Billy and Doris (Trotter) Robertson, he had been a mechanic. Ricky graduated from Sims Grade School and Wayne City High School, was a member of the 1st Christian Church in Wayne City, and married Glenda Wilson in 1979.

His survivor include his wife Glenda Robertson of Sims, son Ricky L. Robertson of Sims, stepsons Tony Wilson of Texas and Jason Cooper of Fairfield, grandchildren Lucas Robertson, Dillon and Curtis Wilson, Kaleb Cooper, Fallon Fry, Roy Lawson, Adam Lawson, Zach Lawson, Sarah Benka, and Raven Hutchinson, parents Billy and Doris Robertson of Sims, sisters Tamara (Bradley) Drake of Mt. Vernon, IL and Shari Robertson of Fairfield, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his stepson Roy Lawson.

Funeral services for Ricky Robertson will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, October 21st at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, with burial to follow in Pin Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
