Matthew Brent Harper, 56, of Granite City IL passed away at 11:25AM on Monday January 13, 2025, at his home. He was employed in the Steel Mills. Matthew was born in Fairfield on August 16, 1968, to Leonard and Edna Maxine (Matthews) Harper.

Matthew is survived by his sisters- Cathy Hayes of Granite City IL and Cara Stemm of Caseyville IL; brother- Allen Harper of Blum TX; step-brother- De Young of Fairfield.

Matthew was preceded in death by his parents, sister- Connie Hosmer, and stepfather- Donnie Young.

Matthew was cremated with no formal services held at this time.

Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home assisted the family with cremation.
