Joseph Ben Downen, 25, of Sims passed away at 2:10PM on Tuesday October 22, 2024, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. He was born in Clayton MO on February 13, 1999, to Sammy and Crystal (Thomason) Downen.

Joseph is survived by his parents- Sammy and Crystal Downen; brothers- Ray (Jennifer) Downen and Dustin Downen; uncle and aunt- Harold and Jolee Thomason; special friends- Jennifer Boshart and J.D. Boshart; two nieces; two nephews; and many cousins also survive.

Joseph was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents- James and Libbee Downen, and maternal grandparents- Harold and Melba Thomason.

Funeral services for Joseph Downen will be held at 2PM on Monday October 28, 2024, with burial in Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City. Visitation will be from 12PM until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to help the family with funeral expenses and will be accepted at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home.
