Robison, Jr.
June 16, 1943 – October 2, 2025
John Curtis Robison, Jr, Attorney-at-Law, passed away at Deaconess Gateway Hospital, Newburgh, IN on Thursday, October 2, 2025. Funeral Services will be conducted at St. Edward Catholic Church on Saturday, October 11. A visitation will be held at the church from 9:30-11:30 a.m., followed by the rosary and Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. with Reverend Slawomir Ptak officiating.
John was born in Mattoon, IL, on June 16, 1943, the son of John Robison, Sr. and Mildred Robison Ziegler. He was a graduate of Fairfield Community High School, Class of 1961. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts in 1965 and a Juris Doctor Degree in 1968. He was a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Mineral Law Section Council. John attended St. Edward Catholic Church.
John married Leslie Manns on June 8, 1968. They had celebrated 57 years of marriage. John and Leslie have three children: Mary Melissa Pfafflin (Erich), John Curtis III (deceased), and Anne Marilyn Hoover (Matt) and four grandchildren: Evan Hoover, Abigail Pfafflin, Aiden Hoover, and Benjamin Pfafflin. The survivors include his widow, Leslie, two daughters, two sons-in-law, four grandchildren, and one sister, Judy Tanner of Sacramento, CA. He is also survived by two brothers-in-law: James Manns (Norma) and Thomas Manns (Christie), and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made either to St. Edward Catholic Church or to University of Louisville Low Vision Rehabilitation Center.
