Jeffrey Lavine

Jeffrey Lavine, 69 of Olney, IL, passed away at 1:31 AM, Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN. Born on August 7, 1956, in Moline, IL to Bert and Wanda (Wise) Lavine, he had been a material handler in a factory. Jeffrey loved fishing on his boat and the outdoors.

Jeffrey is survived by his wife June (Greifzu) Lavine of Olney, brothers Gary Lavine of Peoria, IL, Tom (Sheri) Lavine of Fairfield, and Alan (Silke) Lavine of Bettendorf, IA, sisters Betty Shearer of Moline, IL and Chris (Alan) Gillard of Mt. Erie, IL, sister-in-law Karen Lavine of Milan, IL, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Jim Lavine and Bert Lavine, Jr.

Funeral services for Jeffrey Lavine will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, July 21st at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield, with burial to follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorials in his honor may be made to the Richland County Humane Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
