Hershel Wayne Moore Jr., 71 of Fairfield passed away at 1:20 PM, Sunday, June 9th, 2024, at his home.  Born on June 2, 1953, in Hinsdale, IL to Hershel Wayne Moore Sr. and Jessie Fisher Moore, he had been a drywall finisher.

Wayne is survived by 3 sisters- Linda Wyland of French Lick, IN, Pam Neal of Fairfield, and Julia Sherraden of Fairfield, 5 nieces and nephews, and 8 great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Wayne will be cremated, and a memorial service held at 11 AM, Thursday, June 20th , 2024 at the Johnson and Vaughn Funeral Home in Fairfield.  A visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service.  His ashes will be interred in Plainview Cemetery near Omaha, IL at a later date.
